Anloga DCE Inspects Mapping Exercise for Rural Electrification Project

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Anloga, Sandra Seyram Kpedor, has inspected ongoing mapping activities in Amenyokorfe and Bomigo as part of preparations to extend electricity to the two communities.

The DCE, accompanied by the District Engineer and the Assembly Member for the Adzato Electoral Area, visited the communities to assess progress on the mapping exercise, which is being undertaken ahead of the planned electricity connection.

The project is being implemented by the Ministry of Energy under the Rural Electrification Big Push Project, an initiative aimed at connecting communities without access to electricity to the national grid.

The exercise is expected to pave the way for the extension of electricity infrastructure to the beneficiary communities, improving access to power for households and supporting local economic activities.

Speaking after the inspection, DCE Sandra Seyram Kpedor expressed satisfaction with the progress of the exercise and reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working closely with the Ministry of Energy and other stakeholders to ensure that communities within the Anloga District benefit from the intervention.

She noted that access to electricity remains essential to improving living conditions and creating opportunities for socio-economic development in underserved communities.
