Veep inaugurates Oti Regional House of Chiefs
The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has inaugurated the Oti Regional House of Chiefs in Dambai, the administrative capital of the newly created Region.

In his address, the Vice President said government has assisted the National House of Chiefs with 3.5 million Ghana cedis for the completion of the new headquarters office Complex in Kumasi which is currently ongoing.
The occasion which is destined to be and remained historic and memorable in the annals of Oti Region saw 26 paramount chief from the various traditional areas dressed in various colors and designs of the traditional Ghanaian kente cloth.
The establishment of separate House of Chiefs of the Oti Region brings along with it several opportunities and advantages for our chiefs in particular and our citizens and residents in general.
“Those of us who hails from Oti Region must feel a huge sense of fulfillment for not only being associated with the event but also for the free rate of participating in the event.”
Nananom conveys their sentiments of gratitude to His Excellency the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo for bringing into existence the Oti Region's House of chiefs something our forefathers has fought for since the year 1954.
Dr. Bawumia donated two cars and also cut sod for the construction of ultra-modern office Complex for the smooth running of the Oti Regional house of chiefs.
