KMA endorses Samuel Pyne

Mr. Samuel Kwabena Pyne, Metropolitan Chief Executive Nominee for Kumasi has been confirmed by the Assembly after he garnered 55 out of 58 votes, representing 94.8% of the total votes cast.

The election was organized by the Ashanti Regional Electoral Commission headed by the Regional Director, Mr. Benjamin Bano-Bioh.

Mr. Pyne in his speech thanked the President for the confidence he had in him by nominating him to the high office as MCE and then pledged to work to develop the Kumasi Metropolis beyond what is seen now.

He rallied the Assembly to stand with him as they devise and chart a path of development and promised to involve all stakeholders to ensure together they work to develop Kumasi and provide security for residents.

In attendance was H.E George Ayisi Boateng, who represented the Ashanti Regional Minister, Minister for Transport Kwaku Ofori Asiamah, some newly elected MMDCEs and Members of Parliament for Bantama, Subin and Manhyia North among others.
