Techiman NCCE organizes quiz competition for basic schools as part of 68th independence anniversary celebration
The Techiman municipal office of the National Commission for Civic Education NCCE has organized a quiz competition for basic schools in the municipality as part of activities marking the 68th Independence anniversary celebrations.

The nationwide quiz competition which aims at getting school pupils to study and understand the 1992 constitution saw contestants from three schools answering questions on the constitution and current affairs.
Welcoming participants, the municipal director Mr. Joseph Adomah expressed his gratitude to the Commission for making funds available for the programme.
He said the objective of the competition is to instill a spirit of patriotism in the pupils and get them to take an interest in governance in line with the Commission’s theme for the year “Ghana’s future: Our collective responsibility”.
Ameyaw M/A JHS secured 45 points to place first, followed by Ahmadiya JHS `B` with 41 points whiles the Seventh Day Adventist JHS got 36 points to place third.
Contestants received exercise books and pens as well as certificates of participation.
In a brief remark after the competition, Mr. Henry Horvey the Bono East regional accountant of the Commission commended the participating schools for their comportment and hoped more of such competitions will be organized in future to get more pupils to understand the constitution.
