New police station commissioned at Nkrankwanta

Deputy Bono Regional Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Jaman North, Hon. Siaka Stephens has commissioned an ultra-modern district police station and headquarters at Nkrankwanta in the Dormaa West District.

Speaking at the occasion, the Bono Regional police commander, DCOP Godfred Owusu Boateng thanked the government, the DCE and the MP for the edifice. He reiterated the importance of the police station, saying it is to ensure the safety of the people so they could go about their daily activities without hindrance. He advised the police in the district to work according to the core functions of the service.

The DCE, thanked nananom for allocating and releasing plots of land for the project. The Ankobeahene of Dormaa, Barima Dei kusi- Gyabaa also stated how excited and his subjects were after seeing the completion of the project. He thanked the DCE, the MP, and the government for the project. He advised the police to put it into good use.


Speaking at the occasion, the MP for the Constituency, Hon. Ali Maiga Halidu thanked the Ankobeahene for his involvement in ensuring among political parties in the constituency in the ongoing EC voter registration exercise.


The MP however insisted that, there is no need for people who are none Ghanaians who infiltrate in our voter roll to continue to find their names in the register. He therefore urged various political party leaders to help curb the menace. He seized the opportunity to highlight on some achievement of the government and himself.


At the commissioning were Mary Ameyaa (DCE), Hon. Ali Maiga Halidu(MP), DCOP Godfred Owusu Boateng( Bono regiona police commander), Mr konlaabig Rasheed( Bono regional organizer, NPP), Mr Abdul Razack Oppong( Youth organizer NPP Bono), Mr Asare Baffour( Deputy secretary Npp Bono) Nana Akyea Ekumbi, Nkrankwanta Hene and Nana Barima Dei Kusi- Gyabaa( Ankobeahene-Dormaa)
