Cape Coast District emerge Athletic champions

Cape Coast District bagged 106 points to lift the championship trophy of the Central Region Basic Education Inter Districts Athletics Competition held at the Central Region Schools and Colleges Park at Adisadel on Tuesday.

Gomoa District took the second position with 78 points followed by Awutu-Efutu-Senya District at third position with 52 points while Assin North District came fourth with 51 points.

Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem District took the fifth position with 49 points, Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District was sixth with 43 points, Agona District seventh with 34 points, Assin South District eighth with 28 points while Mfantseman District placed ninth with 25 points.

In the Girls Division, Awutu-Efutu-Senya District emerged champions with 120 points followed by Twifo-Heman-Lower Denkyira District at second position with 98 points, Cape Coast District placed third with 56 points, Assin North District was fourth with 49 points while Komenda-Edina-Eguafo-Abrem District came fifth with 39 points.

Assin South District came sixth with 34 points, Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam District was seventh with 31 points, Asikuma-Odoben-Brakwa District came eighth with 25 points with Mfantseman District placing ninth with 24 points.

Certificates and prizes were awarded to deserving athletes.
