Builsa South District gets new police command
The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Builsa South, Mr Daniel Kwame Gariba says the Assembly has established a new District Police Command, as effort is being intensified to efficiently and effectively fight crime in the area.

According to him, a new District Police Commander has so far been assigned, and is currently at post.
The DCE, who disclosed this when addressing members at the Assembly’s first ordinary meeting further revealed that the Assembly, has also allocated part of its Districts Development Fund for the construction of a multipurpose District Police Headquarters in the area.
He used the opportunity to commend the police for their show of commitment and professionalism in helping protect lives and properties, especially during the final funeral rites of the three divisional chiefs in the district.
“Over the period, the security agencies were professional in maintaining law and order during the final funeral rite of three divisional chiefs, namely Fumbisi, Bachongsa and Doninga and also guaranteed the peaceful enskinment of chiefs of Fumbisi and Doninga which occurred at Sandema”, the DCE added.
Mr Gariba also disclosed that plans have also been made to provide a permanent residential accommodation for the Police Commander.
