HO: MCE urges parents to embrace “Double Truck” system

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. John Nelson Akorli has asked parents to embrace the Senior High School (SHS) ‘Double Track’ system in good faith to enable more students to be admitted into the senior high schools to improve education.

The Ho Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. John Nelson Akorli has asked parents to embrace the Senior High School (SHS) ‘Double Track’ system in good faith to enable more students to be admitted into the senior high schools to improve education.

He said this during his tour with the Volta Regional Minister, Dr Archibald Letsa to some senior high schools in the region to welcome fresh students and also monitor how students, parents and teachers welcome the Double Track system in various schools.



Schools visited were Tanyigbe SHS, OLA SHS, Mawuli School among others.

He added that, the government is employing 8,872 additional tutors for the double track programme and urged parents to help the double track and the semester system to succeed.



Mr. Akorli emphasized that, the system is creating the opportunity for all children to prove themselves and also remind the people of the President's vision of ensuring that every Ghanaian child get education at least up to the secondary level.
