Local Government Minister inaugurates Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly
The Minister of Local Government and Rural Development, Hajia Alima Mahama, has indicated that assemblies are the focal areas for executing the development agenda which may include the provision of better opportunities and the enhancement of the quality of life of the people through agriculture and industrialization.

To this end, she said the assemblies are the integral part of her vision for socioeconomic transformation provided in the coordinated programme of Economic and Social Development Policies 2017-2024 which was presented to Parliament.
Hajia Mahama who was speaking at the inauguration of the Ablekuma Central Municipal Assembly on Tuesday February 19, 2019 held at Sukura in Accra also indicated that the flagship projects and initiative in the short-to-medium term will be successful if the assemblies play their respective roles in "our agenda by revitalizing the economy, revamping social infrastructure, transforming agriculture and industry, providing social development, reforming the delivery of institutions of governance and leveraging on science, technology and innovation for development”.
The Director of Operations at the Office of the President Mr Commey also disclosed to the gathering that, the Minister has assured that the assembly would be given a seed money of two million cedis for the renovation and construction of the new Ablekuma Central Municipality.
Meanwhile, Zoomlion Ghana Limited, a sanitation management company provided sanitary equipment including two skip trucks, ten tricycle and dustbins to the Assembly.
