AYENSUANO: DCE cuts sod for work to begin on new KG blk

A sod cutting ceremony has been performed to pave way for the construction of a 2-Units Kindergarten (KG) block with Ancillary Facilities at Teacher Mante, a community in the Ayensuano District.

Speaking at the short ceremony, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Florence Governor, was buoyant saying that the new facility was going to bring relief to the pupils and teachers who are currently studying under a makeshift structure.

She disclosed that the community formed part of a tall list of communities that were earmarked by the Assembly to benefit from such projects to help improve the quality of teaching and learning in the area.

According to her, the Assembly has initiated numerous projects aimed at improving the standards of education in the area, adding that education was one of the major priorities of the government geared towards the training of the needed human resource to contribute to the growth and development of the country.

He urged the contractors to speed up work on the project but should also ensure value for money.

The DCE also seized the opportunity to advise parents to enroll their children in school in order for them to become useful to the society and the country as a whole.
