The new edifice, once completed, is expected to greatly enhance emergency response efforts and strengthen public safety across the municipality.

The event brought together key stakeholders, including representatives of Nana Dr. Sasu IV, Awosohene of Akyem Kotoku, the Regional Fire Officer of the GNFS, the Municipal Fire Officer and his team, as well as other community and institutional leaders.

The MCE expressed his profound gratitude to Dr. Nana Sasu IV for his remarkable contribution toward the development of the Birim Central Municipality. He acknowledged the Awosohene’s substantial financial support for the project, describing it as a shining example of true leadership and commitment to community growth.

He further encouraged individuals, groups and corporate bodies to emulate this gesture by channeling their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives into essential community projects that will uplift the municipality. According to the MCE, development is a shared responsibility, and partnerships between the assembly and well-meaning stakeholders remain critical for progress.

Highlighting the importance of the facility, the MCE emphasized that the new Fire Service Station will significantly improve emergency response times, intensify fire prevention education and enhance the protection of lives and property within the municipality. He noted that an effective and well-resourced Fire Service is central to community safety, especially as populations grow and developmental activities increase.

“As construction begins, we remain committed to delivering a modern, fully equipped Fire Service Station that will serve our people efficiently for many years to come,” he stated. “This project reflects our unwavering dedication to promoting safety, development and resilience across the municipality.”

The initiative marks another step forward in the assembly’s broader agenda to expand infrastructure and improve social amenities for residents. Construction is set to begin immediately, with stakeholders optimistic about its timely completion and long-term impact on the municipality.
