Afigya Kwabre-North District Assembly achieves 55 per cent revenue target
The Afigya Kwabre-North District Assembly has at the end of August this year, mobilised a total of GHC265,442.36 as revenue.

This represents 55.45 per cent of the GHC478,000.00 estimated target for the year.
Mr. Kwasi Karikari Achamfour, the Municipal Chief Executive, said in order to improve its performance, the Assembly set up a 'Revenue Mobilization Taskforce', headed by the District Finance Officer to boost collection.
Addressing journalists at the Assembly's turn of 'Meet-the-Press' at Boamang in the Ashanti Region, he revealed that a total amount of GHC1,096,569.47 was received as their share of the District Assemblies' Common Fund.
The figure represents the third and fourth quarters of last year, as well as the first quarter of this year.
Mr. Karikari Achamfour pointed said under the 'One District, One Factory (1D1F)' programme, approval was given for the construction of a poultry and livestock processing plant at Kwamang in the District.
The Assembly also submitted to the 1D1F Secretariat, a proposal from Avicare Company Limited for the establishment of an animal feed processing factory.
The MCE observed that the two projects were expected to create jobs for the people upon completion, and affirmed the Assembly's resolve to pursue its vision with zeal.
On the Nation Builders Corps (NABCO) programme, a total of 244 trainees were successfully posted under six modules to work for improvement in their livelihood.
Mr. Karikari Achamfour said to ensure mobility of people and goods across the District, some key feeder roads were constructed, including; Adukro Junction-Adukro-Oyera road, as well as Kyerekrom-Nsuotem road.
Work on the Esaase-Denase bridge, were also completed, while construction of the Ahenkro-Kyekyewere road was on-going.
