The Minister underscored the vital role the pluralistic religion the country practices plays in ensuring peace, harmony and stability in the nation and reminded the gathering of the activities of terrorists in some of our neighbouring countries and therefore entreated them to be on the guard and be careful while welcoming guests into their communities.

Dr. Letsa asked the gathering to check if foreigners have the requisite immigration documents before providing them with accommodation and advised that suspicious persons should be reported to the security services.

In addition, he urged the Moslem brothers and sisters to ensure that non-citizens did not participate in the limited voter registration exercise that would take place.

The minister then presented some bags of rice, bags of sugar, cartons of milo, cartons of milk, and cartons of cooking oil to the leadership of the Muslems.
