Respect Authorities and be law abiding-Sunyani West MCE

Mr. Evans Kusi Boadum, Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Sunyani West, has reminded the residents of the need to be law abiding and respect authorities.

He said being law abiding citizens and respecting people in authority will help maintain the prevailing peace in the country.

Mr. Boadum made the call during a town hall meeting held at the Fiapre durbar grounds to engage the residents on developmental issues and plans of the Assembly for the area. He expressed gratitude to the chiefs for their collaborative efforts to bring peace and development to the area.

Outlining the Assembly’s plan for the community, the MCE assured the Chiefs and the people that all projects started by the previous administration would be completed for the benefit of the people and assured the residents of renovating the durbar grounds and attached it with washrooms.

On education, the Municipal Chief Executive said a new 3unit classroom block with furniture is ongoing at T.I Ahamadiya Basic school while work on Nana Kyem Amponsah Senior School block is also progressing steadily.

Health and Sanitation

The MCE said the Assembly will collaborate with Nananom to evacuate the huge refuse dump at kantro station and to also provide containers to help improve sanitation in the area.

He also mentioned that land has been secured with all the needed documentations done for work to commence on the Agenda 111 hospital which the Municipality is a beneficiary and also plans are in place to construct pavement at the Fiapre Health Centre.

Electricity

Mr. Evans Kusi Boadum said electricity will soon be extended to Kantro and efforts are being made to resolve lighting system challenges in the community.

Roads

The Municipal Chief Executive indicated that the Fiapre -Odomase road and that of Bellin Top which are under construction will soon be asphalted and that of Fiapre Town roads will also be considered next.

On his part, the Chief of Fiapre, Obrempong Kyem Amponsah II in his address said he will collaborate with the Assembly to help upgrade the Fiapre health centre to polyclinic status. The chief disclosed that he is committed to ensuring the Community get the needed development under his era.
