Ejisu model school gets ultra-modern 15-seater toilet facility

The Ejisu Municipal Assembly has commissioned a 15-seater toilet facility at Ejisu Model School to improve sanitation issues.

The facility has changing rooms, urinals, and cubicles for persons with disability and was handed over by the GAMA SWP team together with officers from the Ejisu Municipal Assembly to the Management of the Ejisu Model School.

Mr. Samuel Oduro Frimpong the Municipal chief Executive (MCE) in his address indicated that over three thousand students of the Ejisu Model School are benefitting from the newly constructed 15-seater and the renovated 24-seater toilet facilities for both boys and girls.

The MCE noted that the facility is part of the 120 institutional sanitation facilities being provided by GAMA SWP within the Greater Kumasi Metropolitan Area and funded by the World Bank

The Ashanti regional minister, Mr. Simon Osei-Mensah said through the provision of ultra-modern toilet facility, they are solving issues of open defecation and preventing various diseases adding that it’s also in fulfillment of SDG goal 6 which talks about ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.
