West Gonja Agric Extension officers receive motorbikes
As part of the government robust initiative to boost the Agricultural Sector in the country, eleven jungle motorbikes have been presented to the Agricultural Extension officers in the West Gonja district by District Chief Executive (DCE) of the area, Muhazu Jibril.

The DCE also submitted names of twenty graduates who have completed the Damongo Agriculture College to the Ministry of Food and Agriculture for immediate employment.
Among the names submitted Sixteen (16) of them were employed in the district.
He was therefore happy that eleven (11) out of the sixteen (16) are receiving the motorbikes from government through Modernizing Agriculture in Ghana (MAG) programme.
Mr Muhazu Jibril tasked beneficiaries to do diligent work by reaching out to farmers to educate them on improved farming methods.
He also gave hints of other benefits the extension officers stand to benefit since government is committed to their well being.
Receiving the motorbikes the District Director of Agriculture Mr Peter Claver Anyeembey, thanked the DCE for always supporting the agricultural ministry in the district.
He said this will help in revamping the extension services of the Agric sector.
He was optimistic that, the motorbikes will help extension officers to reach out to farmers in rural communities for first hand information.
