She said the new system would not only help in reducing overcrowding in classrooms but more also help employ more qualified teachers who are currently not employed.

The MCE who was addressing the Methodist Women Fellowship in Nkoranza indicated that lack of infrastructure has been the primary cause of introducing the system as a lot of senior high schools are faced with infrastructure challenges.

She assured that criticism about effective teaching and learning and its impact on the overall performance of students would be tackled.

The MCE noted that the only difference with the policy and what currently pertains is the bit of prolonged nature of vacation and reopening period.

The was confident that this system would rather urge students to do a lot on their own, thus embark on effective independent learning since tutors will be engaging them with project works where they have to do more research works and which, will be considered in their pass marks.

The system, she stated would also give room for more qualified candidates to be admitted to benefit from the free senior high school policy.
