Sunyani West MP donates furniture to schools

Mr. Ignatius Baffour Awuah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Sunyani West has donated some 625 furniture to the Municipal Education directorate for onward distribution to selected schools in the Municipality.

The move is to enhance teaching and learning in the municipality.

At a short ceremony to hand over the furniture, the legislator noted that quality education was the most integral component of development in any society and pledged to do everything possible to develop the education sector.

He said the Akuffo Addo led government had taken education as major priority, hence its commitment in committing resources in providing facilities to ensure quality education for the nation's development.

He called on the beneficiary schools to practice good maintenance culture to prolong the life span of the furniture.

He also donated 500 school uniforms for brilliant but needy students in the Municipality.

Receiving the items, the Municipal Director of Education Mr. Issah Baffour thanked the MP for the support and called for more of such support.
