The beneficiaries, selected from communities across the constituency based on academic performance and financial need, will receive support for tuition, books, accommodation and other essential educational expenses.
Speaking at a presentation ceremony at the Tatale District Assembly Hall, Mr William said the intervention was aimed at helping young people overcome financial barriers and unlock their potential.
He said education remained a key tool for reducing poverty and promoting sustainable development, stressing that the MP’s Common Fund must be used strategically to support critical constituency needs.
The Tatale-Sanguli DCE, Mary Tagba, commended the initiative, saying it would contribute to improving access to quality education and human capital development in the constituency.
The beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the support, with one aspiring biomedical laboratory scientist describing the scholarship as an opportunity to pursue a long-held career ambition.
