Agona West Municipal Health Directorate Receives Medical Items

The Agona West Municipal Health Directorate has taken delivery of medical supplies to improve healthcare services in the Municipality. The items provided by Big Cap Micro Credit, a financial institution in Accra, at a cost of GHS 360,000.00 are to be distributed to all health facilities in the Municipality.

The donation includes 84,000 units of infusion sets, 27,000 units of synthetic surgical gloves, 127,300 units of disposal syringe with needles and 250 units of cotton wool.

Presenting the items, The Chief Executive Officer of the institution, Mr. Fridaus Mubarak Yussif emphasized on the mantra of Big Cap Micro-Credit, thus “Grow with Us”. “The Big Cap Micro Credit wants to grow and expand the community of healthy people and not the other way round and these supplies will help Agona West Health Directorate strengthen its health systems and be able to better respond to the COVID-19 pandemic, hence the need for this donation."


At the official handing over ceremony in Agona Swedru, Member of Parliament for the Constituency,  Cynthia Mamle Morrison who received the items on behalf of the Health Directorate, declared, “These items have been donated at the right time to support the efforts of health officials to combat the COVID-19 pandemic and strengthen the health systems."
She thanked the CEO and the Company for the kind gesture and hoped to count on them as strategic partners working together towards a common goal - saving lives.

Dr. Julius Abuku, the Medical Superintendent of Agona West Health Directorate expressed appreciation to the CEO of the Company and the Member of Parliament and said these supplies had come at the opportune time to aid smooth delivery of healthcare in the Municipality.

The Municipal Chief Executive Officer of the Municipality, Evans Addison Onomah Coleman in his remarks charged the health directorate to evenly distribute the supplies among all health centers in the Municipality and also urged the public to have confidence in the New COVID-19 Protocols and also get vaccinated for a healthy life.
