Form Ghana sponsors 6-unit block for Akumadan D/A Faith Primary
Form Ghana Limited, a leading company in forest restoration, is sponsoring the construction of a six-unit classroom block for Akumadan D /A Primary School in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti region.

The project which is expected to be completed by the end of the year is to replace the dilapidated block, which had become unattractive to parents to send their wards there.
The Plantation Manager of Form Ghana, Mr. Matthew Essuman, explained that the company considered upon an appeal made by the Chief of the area Nana Akumoa Boateng and the school’s authorities.
Mr. Essuman noted that the company has not and will not renege on its educational pillar in the company and will continue to help when and where necessary.
Cutting the sod, the Offinso North District Chief Executive Hon. David Kwasi Asare, said President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, is interested in the welfare and education of children in Ghana.
He added that the President’s interest explains why the government is prioritizing education with the free senior high school as its flagship program.
Mr. Asare said: “It is about time traditional leaders take a center stage in ensuring that education is prioritized by all in their communities”.
He called on parents and traditional leaders to ensure that the facilities are put into good use by allowing their wards to attend school regularly.
The Chief of Akumadan, Nana Akumoa Boateng I, said that the construction of the school will bring relief to parents, teachers, pupils and most especially the community.
He said: “This project is a dream comes true, we never thought this could be a reality until today.”
Nana Boateng expressed gratitude to Form Ghana Limited for responding to their appeal for a better structure to replace the old dilapidated one to help improve teaching and learning in the school.
The Offinso North District Director of Education Mr. Michael I.Darbbey-Tannian said the construction of the new classroom block by Form Ghana is very timely and we are grateful to them because there were a number of attempts by GES to close down the school due to the dilapidation nature of the school.
He said the project has become imperative as a result of the challenges teachers and pupils were facing in the area.
As a result, a lot of teachers were reposted to other schools. He, therefore, observed that the momentum for delivering educational infrastructure in the Offinso North District should be sustained.
