He said all the promises made by the President during his campaign would be fulfilled to the admiration of Ghanaians and urged the people to embrace the wind of change and work hard to complement the effort of the Government.

The DCE, who was speaking at the inauguration of a refurbished lorry park for the people of Adukrom, observed that the Government was committed to giving every area its fair share of the national cake.

The refurbish lorry park involved construction of rail guards, pavement, and washroom facilities to ensure that all vehicles moving from Adukrom to Accra, Koforidua, Somanya and the adjoining towns had enough space to load at the station.

Mr Kenneth commended the chiefs and people of Adukrom for releasing the land and urged the leadership of the Ghana Private Road Transport Union (GPRTU) to ensure all vehicles loaded at the lorry station.

That would check the indiscipline of parking and loading at unauthorized places, he said.

The GPRTU Chairman, Mr Kwaku Gyampo, commended the DCE for the refurbishment and said, hitherto, the lorry park was difficult to access during rainy seasons, hence could not demand that all drivers loaded there.

He said with the current state, they would ensure that all vehicles patronised the lorry park to enforce discipline in the area.

Mr Gyampo called on passengers to avoid boarding vehicles at unauthorised places for their own safety.

He appealed to the Assembly to provide dustbins to ensure cleanliness at the lorry park.
