President Mahama Commissions Expanded Zonda Tec Ghana Vehicle Assembly Facility

President John Dramani Mahama has commissioned the expanded Zonda Tec Ghana vehicle assembly facility in the Kpone-Katamanso Municipality of the Greater Accra Region, reaffirming the government’s commitment to strengthening Ghana’s domestic automotive industry.

The expanded facility is expected to contribute to increased local vehicle production, skills development and value addition within Ghana’s automotive sector.

The commissioning forms part of government’s broader efforts to promote industrialisation and create opportunities for local participation in manufacturing and related industries.

The investment is also expected to support job creation, enhance technical skills and strengthen Ghana’s capacity to assemble vehicles locally, while reducing dependence on imported fully built vehicles.

The government has reiterated its commitment to creating an enabling environment for businesses in the automotive sector to expand local production and contribute to Ghana’s economic transformation.
