Tain DCE hands over ambulance to Seikwa Health Center
The District Chief Executive for Tain, Lawyer Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh has handed over an ambulance to the Seikwa Health center to aid health delivery in the catchment area and the district as a whole.

The Ambulance which was donated by the Lysaro Group is equipped with infusion hanger, suctioning machine, air vent, auto regulated bed, oxygen cylinders connected with its outlets, pen touch to check to the reflection of lights and other equipment’s to help improve health delivery in the area.
Presenting the ambulance to the District Health Director in a brief ceremony, the District Chief Executive Lawyer Charity Akua Foriwaa Dwommoh expressed gratitude to the Donors for the gesture and said it would strengthen health systems and improve health outcomes. “The ambulance will facilitates quicker transport of pregnant women, newborns and the critically ill patients to health facilities for appropriate care” she said.
She noted that the absence of ambulance service in the district had been her headache and with this, it would help strengthened the health system in the district.
The DCE was hopeful that the ambulance will serve as the emergency transport system to covey cases from communities to the higher level of care and eventually improve health delivery system in the district.
The District Health Director, Mr. Kofi Annor Doku Annor said the ambulance has come at the right time and would go a long way to help aid health delivery in the district. He noted that, with the ambulance, emergence cases will be transported to the next referral point in time, and it will compliment measures by his office to strengthened health system in the district in a holistic manner.
He made an assurance that the ambulance would be used for its intended purpose.
