Aspiring Assembly Member supports community with free health screening

The aspiring assembly member for Gbantanaa Electoral Area in the Adentan Municipality in the Greater Accra Region, Mr. Evans Brako has organized a free health screening exercise and renewal of National Health Insurance cards for 800 residents of his area to promote good health and long life.

The exercise was based on Malaria screening, Eye screening, hypertension, diabetes upper respiratory condition and renewal of NHIS cards.

In an interview with Mr. Brako, he said the gesture was not intended to win support from the residents but rather to support healthy living among residents in the area.

He added that his contribution to the development of the area was way back and not a bite fir his aspiring position.

Some of the beneficiaries shared their gratitude to the aspirant for supporting their health and also encourage him to do more for the area.

Meanwhile, one of the health nurses who helped in the exercise said most of the residents have some severe conditions they are ignorant of, and therefore advised them to keep visiting the hospital and do regular checkups to know their health status at all times.
