The programme which was organized under the theme: “Accelerating Attainment of Universal Health Coverage and Bridging the Asset Equity Gab’’, were attended by various Regional Coordinating Council and officials of the Ghana Health Service (GHS).

 Speaking at the colourful event in Ho yesterday, Volta Regional Minister Dr. Archibald Letsa emphasized the need for government to strengthen health delivery in remote communities across the country by constructing more CHPs compounds at various underserved communities in Ghana.

 He said government was keen to improve on the health of its citizens since “the wealth of a nation is said to depend on the health of its citizens”. He therefore reiterated that a programme will soon be rolled out to provide deprived community with access to healthcare.

He added that his outfit will also engage the Ghana Health Service to ensure that health personnel were posted to these health centers as soon as they are completed.
