Mr. Agyapong, who was nominated by President John Dramani Mahama, secured 100 percent of the votes from the 18-member Pru West District Assembly in an election conducted and supervised by the Electoral Commission at Prang, the district capital.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Agyapong expressed gratitude to the Assembly Members for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to work closely with them and residents to advance the development of the district.

He promised to promote inclusive and participatory governance, stressing that the active involvement of residents was essential to achieving sustainable development.

Mr. Agyapong also urged residents to take advantage of the government’s Feed Ghana Programme by expanding their farming activities to improve food production and enhance their livelihoods.

The confirmation officially paved the way for Mr. Agyapong to assume his responsibilities as the substantive DCE for Pru West.
