Peki Government Hospital's Dental Unit Receives State-of-the-Art Chair Donation

The Dental Unit of Peki Government Hospital has been significantly enhanced with the donation of a brand-new, ultra-modern dental chair, the only one of its kind in the Volta Region.

This generous contribution was made possible by Mr. Sunu, who, after receiving exceptional care from the unit a few months ago, sought assistance from the Peki Union of North America. Mr. Sunu had previously struggled to find adequate help at various facilities in Accra. Impressed by the professionalism of the staff, despite their outdated equipment, he reached out to the Union for support.

Under the leadership of President Mr. Michael Dzandza, the Union responded swiftly and compassionately, delivering a chair that promises to transform dental services in the area.

Dr. Koranteng, the Medical Superintendent of the hospital, expressed profound gratitude to the Union, highlighting that nearly half of all dental cases had to be referred to other facilities due to inadequate equipment. With the arrival of this new chair, the hospital is now equipped to manage a significantly higher volume of cases in-house.

Additionally, Dr. Koranteng appealed to the Union to consider adopting the Dental Unit, a request that Mr. Dzandza warmly accepted. The Head of the Unit expressed their excitement, noting that this is currently the only dental chair of its kind in the entire region.

Mr. Mark Dzebu, Assemblyman for the Tsame Electoral Area, also extended his thanks to the donors and encouraged the hospital to maintain the equipment diligently, ensuring it serves the community for many years to come.

This initiative stands as a powerful reminder of the impact that community support and compassion can have.
