Education Director Advises School Pupils
The Offinso North District Director of Education Mr. Michael I. Darbbey-Tannian has tasked children in the area to work hard at their studies and persevere against any odds they may encounter in the course of their education.

This is because, education is a sure way for them to end up as productive and useful adults to themselves, to their families and the nation as a whole.
He was speaking at Amposankrom where he interacted with school pupils who had reported to school for the first time at the kindergarten and primary one levels of the education ladder.
He visited a number of selected schools to formally welcome the first-time school children and also give them words of encouragement under an annual visitation programme christened “My First Day At School.”
Mr. Darbbey-Tannian told parents of their responsibilities including catering for the education requirements of the children and the need to prepare them adequately and timely for school each working day.
He, therefore, entreated the teachers to be proud of their chosen profession, be punctual to work and do their best in grooming the young students under their care.
At each of the school visited” biscuits crayons, sharpers, toffees school uniforms pencils and assorted drinks were distributed to the tens of cheerful pupils as, “my first day at school” gifts.
Mr. Stephen Amerdavi, who spoke on behalf of the District Chief Executive of the area Hon. David Akwasi Asare stated that the event was aimed at encouraging pupils attending school for the first time to like the school environment saying that school was one of first places where children’s behaviour and future educational success was shaped and therefore, teachers must create a warm and protective environment to ensure their development.
He noted the importance of education to the progress and survival of very country, and appealed to parents to co-operate with teachers to supervise their children education adding that Government is making sure kids get all that they need in their studies.
