The tour which took the team to St Jerome SHS, Namong SHS, and Dwamena Akenten SHS was meant to interact with staff and newly placed students on the double track system since it was the first time of implementing the policy across the country.

The schools as of close of day registered almost half of the number given them.

Some direct challenges were students placed on the “Gold Track” list who intend to be in the Green Track” list. Others include students placed as day students who come from afar and had no accommodation, time table for teaching which do not suit teachers, as well as safe placement by students among others.

The MCE used the occasion to access some of their challenges and also their requests in general.

Among the challenges of all the schools visited were;
1) Inadequate infrastructure including classrooms, dormitories, teachers’ bungalow, offices
2) Inadequate furniture
3) Inadequate teaching and non-teaching staff
4) Poor security

Mr. Solomon Kesseh promised to do his humanly possible best to help fix most of the challenges mentioned.

Madam Joyce Aduama pleaded with the teachers to put in their best to fix some of the challenges.

The MCE also thanked all and sundry and asked them to put in their maximum support to make the double track system a success.
