A second stakeholders meeting has been held between the Ketu South Municipal Assembly in collaboration with the Volta Regional Minister, Dr. Letsa and the Seven Sea Salt concession as well as affected communities.

The Municipal Chief Executive for the Ketu South Municipal Assembly, Edem Elliot Agbenorwu has hinted of his resolve to ensure the problems are holistically and amicably resolved and has therefore announced to take over the discussions from the Regional Minister and the Land and Natural Resources Minister to its level.

In view of this, some new communities such as Salakope Tsavanya Kpordoave Klinogokope Afiadenyigbaga have also been included as those affected by operations of the company.

As a first step towards progress, some communities including Adina and Kpedzakope and others are to be provided with potable water to help in the domestic use of residents.

Communities at the catchment areas of Seven Sea Salt Limited, a salt mining company at Adina expresses their frustrations and

disappointment at what they described was neglect and unfulfilled promises to the residents prior to the establishment of the company.

This led to a number of agitations in the communities resulting in loss of lives. They claimed the company was supposed to among other things

-    develop 300 meters of land into fish pond and salt mining site for these communities
-    buy salt from the people around the company
-    pump water from the sea for their operations.  But the company is yet to do any of these things.

It took the intervention of the Regional Minister, Dr. Letsa to calm tempers down when he invited the chiefs and the people for a meeting in Ho.
