The DCE came under serious criticism at the public hearing of MMDDCEs by the Local Government and Rural Development Committee on Wednesday during which he was accused of not seeking the input of his MP on the projects to be embarked on and the locations.

But clarifying the issue with the media after his engagement with the Committee, he stated that even though he contested the internal elections in the Constituency for the Parliamentary slot and lost, he has never done anything to undermine the collective interest of the party.

Rather, he has put in all his energy in working in the interest of the party and the district.

He said the relationship between him and the Member of Parliament remains cordial; adding that he even informed him when he arrived in Accra for the public hearing and they even exchanged chats.

He assured that he is committed to the mandate given him as the District Chief Executive for Krachi Nchumuru, and he is determined to achieve results; and by so doing he will not shy away from involving the Member of Parliament who is a major stakeholder in the district.

When questioned on why the MP was not involved in the decision making on the projects and their respective sites, he explained that the assembly already had a budget item, and with money made available to the Assembly, they only implemented what was contained in the budget; adding that nothing untoward happened in the allocation of those projects.
