According to her she would not shield any candidate who engages in examination malpractice with any teacher or invigilator.

"We have taken over two weeks to sensitized your invigilators and we don't expect any malpractice to occur in any of our centers. If you there try me, I will let you drink your own cup of tea", she stressed.

Mrs. Kankam gave the warning during a visit to all the six BECE examination centers in the entire District to ascertain the situation on grounds.

In all, a total number of 1791 candidates comprising 999 boys and 792 girls registered for this year's examination in the District.

ven though there were no recorded incidents, a visit to the centers revealed that materials were not delivered on time and examination has to delay as scheduled.

At Kukuom Agric Senior School, the Supervisor in charge Mr. Richard Yaw Nseason said a total number of 574 candidates were expected to write the exams and was quick to add that 5 of the candidates were absent and however indicated that one of them had travelled outside the country.

At Sankore Centre A, the Supervisor in charge Mr. Stephen Antoh explained that out of the total number of 273 registered candidates, 4 made up of 2 boys and 2 girls were absent of reasons yet to be established.

At Kwapong Presby Primary Examination Centre the Supervisor in charge, Mr. Francis Warmann stated that 3 of the candidates out of 250 registered were absent.

The Education Director however encouraged the candidates to see the examination as a stepping-stone in their future academic excellence and challenged them to improve previous results from the District.
