MCE hands over furniture to Adweso SDA School

The Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for the New Juaben South (NJSMA), Isaac Appaw-Gyasi on Tuesday, 11th October, 2022, handed over One Thousand Two Hundred and Ten (1,210) set of furniture’s and cupboards to the Adweso S.D.A School.

The presentation aimed at enhancing teaching and learning within the various schools in the Municipality.

The handing over includes 400 mono desks, 500 dual desks, 40 Hexagonal tables, 240 chairs for K.G and, 30 teachers tables and chairs for Junior High, upper and lower primary schools respectfully.

He expressed hope that the donation will help reduce furniture deficit within the Municipality and make the pupils feel more comfortable and enable them focus on their studies.

The Public Relations Officer at the Municipal Education Directorate, Madam Matilda Botchway also pleaded with the School authorities to ensure proper maintenance of the dual desk and assured them of government’s readiness to provide them with the necessary logistics to facilitate their course.

She also expressed delightful remarks on both the MCE and the President for making such a heartwarming provision which will also serve as an incentive to students and teachers hence giving rise to effectiveness and efficiency in class.

Speaking to the journalists, the school heads and teachers at the ceremony, the MCE stated that the donation was a continuation of a similar project carried out by his office last year as part of efforts to support education in the Municipality.

“I urge managements of the schools to take good care of the desks and other furniture provided. They should educate the children to keep them clean and safe at all times so as to serve its intended purpose” PRO emphasized.
