The district assembly was going to give strong backing to at least 100 of them to pursue tertiary education, to live their dream.
He announced this when he joined worshippers at a holy mass held at the Saint Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Manso-Nkwanta.
Mr. Bediako expressed dissatisfaction with, what he said, was the low retention of girls in schools in the district and asked that this radically changed, to help lift more women out of poverty.
He appealed to the church to use its tremendous influence with the people to encourage everybody to provide girls with the opportunity to pursue academic careers.
That, he indicated, was the way forward to aid women to become assertive, economically self-supporting and to meaningfully contribute to the development of the society.
The Reverend Father Martin Atta Denkyira, the Parish Priest, said it was refreshing the renewed focus on girl-child education and pledged the readiness of the church to stand with the assembly every step of the way.
He used the occasion to appeal to the government to move quickly to fix the Manso-Mim Junction-Agroyesum-Keniago-Datano road for smooth evacuation of farm produce to the marketing centres.
