Veep urges Dermaman to vote massively for NPP
Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President of the Republic in his electioneering campaign tour in the Ahafo Region has urged the Dermaman to vote massively for the NPP in the upcoming 2020 general elections.

He thanked the chiefs and people of Derma for their warm reception and described the Ghana’s economy under the Former President John Dramani Mahama as not encouraging, citing that the poor performance of the former President made the country encounter consistent power outages resulting to the collapse of the businesses.
Dr. Bawumia encouraged the residents in the Tano South Municipality to consider the achievements made by government under the able leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and vote massively to retain NPP government to do more projects which could help arrest the poverty bedeviling on citizens.
Recounting the achievements of government, he stressed that government has executed developmental projects, policies and activities in the areas of roads, education, agriculture, health and among others to address some of the challenges hindering the country.
Nana Twumasi Asamoah, the Gyasihene of Derma who represents the chief of Derma thanked Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the Vice President and his entourage for making time out of the busy schedule to visit the people of Derma. He commended government for the measures put in place to work on Bechem-Techimantia- Akomadan and Techimantia – Derma – Asouso roads and reiterated that when the road project is completed would help to curtain the road network issues confronting the Municipality.
Nana Twumasi indicated that the Derma SHS has been attended by many students, meanwhile there is a limited students’ accommodation and teachers bungalows including school vehicle and among others and appealed to government to provide the said items to Derma SHS to enhance quality education in the Municipality.
He said since Derma SHS has not been fenced, it has given opportunity to criminals to embark on immoral activities in the school and informed government as the matter of urgency to fence the said school and upgrade the Derma Health Centre to enhance the health care delivery.
