MCE commends security, citizens for reduction in armed robbery
The municipal chief executive for Ejura Sekyeredumase Municipality Assembly, Mohammed Salisu Bamba has attributed the reduction in the rate of armed robbery in the municipality to the efforts played by all stakeholders.

He made the observation at the first ordinary meeting of the sixth assembly held on Tuesday 31st may 2018 at the assembly at Ejura.
According to the chief executive, the vigilance of the local, regional and national petrol teams have gone a long way to bringing the menace under control. “They are visible all the time especially on market days so that ensured the safety of traders who engage in all manner of businesses on market days.”
He also acknowledged the efforts played by the traditional leaders, Hon Member of Parliament, Hon assembly members, area council members and unit committee members in the fight against armed robbery.
The President’s representative assured the gathering of that the assembly would continue to play its part to support the efforts of the security to maintain peace.
“In this regard the assembly will continue to provide accommodation for the petrol teams as well as foot their electricity bills monthly and the fuel support which amounts to GHC7 ,480.00 a month would countinue”, he hinted.
Hon Mohammed Salisu Bamba underscored the need for all to support the security men by volunteering vital information to support them track and eliminate the criminals as the security men were there to protect their lives and properties.
The former member of parliament for Ejura Sekyeredumase further stated that as we enter into the farming season,activities of the robbers may reduce but that does not mean we should relax the grips of our security arrangements.
