The fully furnished CHPS at Amantena is expected to provide preventive and treatment services to residents in the area and other neighbouring towns.

In brief remarks at the commissioning, Mr Boateng stated that the project “offers yet another opportunity to invest in what we believe will make a difference in the lives of women and children.”

He lauded the commitment of the Chiefs and People of the community, the Health Directorate who pulled resources together to build the facility.

The DCE further stated that the CHPS compound remains a significant concept to bring and promote health care delivery, especially in rural communities across the country.

He pledged to support the facility with all the equipment needed, and also donated some cash amount.

“I am also pleased that this facility is serviced by two community health nurses, a midwife and a staff nurse. This will certainly ensure that the community will have the necessary complement of basic health services, especially for maternal and child health.” the DCE said.

He entreated all to support government in the collective duty of making healthcare more accessible and available for all Ghanaians most especially the rural areas.

The District Health Director, Mr. Ronald Miah called on the staff and managers of the facility to honour the benevolence of the District Chief Executive by making judicious use of the equipment and also exhibit professionalism in their line of duty.
