The programme aims to improve the road infrastructure and living conditions and create employment opportunities for the people in the municipality.

He said the deplorable roads in the municipality hindered access to markets, schools, health care, and other essential services.

“One of the major problems confronting the Assembly at the local areas is the roads. And this initiative is one of the biggest projects of the Nana Akufo-Addo and Dr Bawumia –led government, which would transform our communities greatly,” he said.

The Assembly would ensure efficient utilisation of the equipment and proper maintenance culture to improve its longevity, he said.

Mr. Elvis Yeboah, the Municipal Engineer, said the Assembly would engage the various communities to access the nature of their roads and prioritise their needs.

He urged the communities to help the Assembly to embark on this important exercise when the machines start operating.
