A voting process that saw all 49 member assembly members’ present and taking part in the voting, Mr. Nkansah polled 33 votes with 16 votes against him representing 67.35percent and 32.65 respectively.

Having obtained more than the required two-third majority he became the new district chief executive for the area.

He thanked the president for the hounour done him in nominating him and also to the assembly members for reposing confidence in him by confirming him.

He called for unity of purpose among all and sundry including the assembly members, assembly staff, chiefs and opinion leaders so that they can work together to find solutions to the many challenges confronting the district.
