Keta MCE commends GES for successful examination

Mr. Emmanuel Gemegah, the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for Keta, has commended the Ghana Education Service (GES) for ensuring a successful Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in the area.

He commended Mr. Gerhard Avudzivi, the Municipal Director of Education, the various supervisors, invigilators and security forces for the good work done.

Mr. Gemegah in an interview congratulated the candidates for their determination, discipline, and endurance during the examination.

He cautioned them to be of good behaviour as they journeyed higher on the educational ladder.

“The Free Education Policy is here to mitigate financial challenges being faced by parents. This should motivate our children enough to aspire for better things,” he said.

This year's BECE commenced on Monday, August 7 with English Language and Religious and Moral Education and ended on Friday, August 11, with French.

A total of 1,524 candidates sat for the exams within the Keta Municipality.
