Obuasi Municipal Education Directorate receives 350 metallic duel desks
The Obuasi Municipal Assembly has handed over 350 metallic dual desks to the Municipal Education Directorate of the Ghana Education Service (GES) to be distributed to needy schools in the Obuasi Municipality.

About 700 school children from eight schools in the Municipality are expected to benefit from the furniture which are expected to enhance quality education and promote effective teaching and learning in the area.
Mr. Stephen Tecku, the Municipal Coordinating Director at a short handing over ceremony said the intervention forms part of government’s support with the aim of helping to bridge the infrastructure deficit adding that the Assembly led by the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) Mr. Elijah Adansi-Bonah remains committed to support education by providing the necessary infrastructure to boost quality teaching and learning in schools.
He therefore appealed to the education directorate and head teachers at the beneficiary schools to ensure that the pupils handle the furniture with care.
The Obuasi Municipal Education Director Mr. George Alfred Koomson assured that the furniture will be used for the benefit of the school children and also promised to liaise with authorities of the beneficiary schools to ensure the furniture are protected.
