Abuakwa North Education Directorate receives dual desks
Abuakwa North Municipal Assembly headed by Alhaji Umar Babs Bodinga has handed over five hundred (500) dual desks to the Municipal Education Directorate for onward distribution to Junior High Schools in the Municipality.

According to the Municipal Chief Executive, the Education Directorate requested for thousand eight hundred (1,800) dual desks for the Junior High Schools and said the presents form the first batch and assured the directorate that the remaining batches will arrive at a short stipulated time.
He posited that all primary schools in the Municipality are fully furnished and all Junior High Schools use white marker boards adding that, educational infrastructure in the Municipality is unmatched.
The MCE further assured the Directorate of Government's commitment to quality education in the enclave through the collective powerful lobbying skills from the Member of Parliament, Gifty Twum-Ampofo who doubles as the Deputy Minister of Education incharge of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and himself.
He used the short ceremony to admonish parents to do their part as stakeholders in education as the Government and Ghana Education Service are doing their best to improve the sector.
Madam Abena Gyamerah, Municipal Director of Education, receiving the desks thanked the Assembly, the Member of Parliament and the central government for their continuous support to education in the Municipality.
She further assured the Municipal Chief Executive that the desks will be distributed fairly to the schools mentioned in the inventory provided and said maximum maintenance culture will be adopted to make sure the desks last.
Present at the presentation were, Mr John Ankrah, Municipal Coordinating Director, Some selected staff of the Municipal Assembly, Headmasters of the selected schools and the press.
