Aarhus City Manager visits Tema

Mr. Henrick Seiding, the City Manager of Aarhus, the second largest City in Denmark has paid a working visit to the Tema Metropolitan Assembly in the Greater Accra Region.

The visit was to enable the two cities extend its existing Memorandum of Understating on Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) and Urban Water improvement and Wastewater Treatment.

The Strategic Sector Cooperation (SSC) which involves the implementation of innovative solutions to water challenges in the Greater Accra Metropolitan Area (GAMA) and Tema in particular.

His visit follows an earlier courtesy call made by the Prime Minister of Denmark late last year.

At a brief ceremony, Mayor of Tema, Yohane Amarh Ashitey expressed his appreciation to the Danish Government and the City of Aarhus in particular for the partnership, and pledged his commitment to ensure the project’s successful implementation.

Present at the ceremony were the Danish Ambassador to Ghana, H.E Tom Norring, Nii Adjetey Agbo, Ag. President Tema Traditional Council, Alhaji Shehu Kadiri, Tema Metropolitan Coordinating Director and Officials from TMA and Ghana Water Company Ltd.
