DCE inspects construction work on 1V1D at Adupei

Mustapha Mahama has paid a working visit to Adupei to inspect progress of work on the “one village, one dam” (1V1D) projects in the Central Gonja District.

Adupe is one of communities benefiting from the first batch of 10 dams per constituency under 1V1D through president Nana Addo's Infrastructure for Poverty Eradication Program ( IPEP).

Mustapha Mahama, the District Chief Executive of the area urged the contractor to do a good job at the site and also on his second site at Torsinapei.



Other communities benefitting from the 1V1D in Yapei Kusawgu constituency include Jiramoapei /Larigbani, Issape, Chama, Tuluwe, Old Buipe, Boachipe, Lampur and Kingbigi

The DCE opined that Government is committed to modernizing Agriculture by encouraging all year round farming and making it the backbone of the Ghanaian Economy hence the 1V1D initiative.



He also said with the Northern Development Authority now fully functional, they will implement the constituency specific projects next year which will culminate in the total development of the district.

The chief and people of Adupei were very happy to see another promise of the President being fulfilled.



The chief asked the DCE to convey their profound gratitude to the president for delivering on his promise of providing free senior high school programme, subsidized fertilizer and other inputs through Planting for Food and Jobs programme as well as the 1V1D.
