He said the proven leadership gesture by the President and his close associates was ample proof of the safeness of the vaccine adding that all should partake in the exercise to help bring life to normalcy. The Municipal Coordinating Director also took his vaccine shot without wavy.
Per the Assembly’s official arrangement of taking the Covid-19 jab, the Municipal Director of Health Services Dr. Yaa Danquah in her speech advised and encouraged Assembly Officials and others who were not far from the launch Centre to avoid all unnecessary speculations and anxiety surrounding the vaccine.
Dr. Yaa Danquah emphasized that the vaccine was not different from any other vaccine, except that one needed to eat heavily before taking the dose. She added that, observing safety protocols such as the wearing of face mask, washing hands thoroughly under running water with soap, the frequent use of hand sanitizers should be practiced until the spread is over.
In a media interview, Hon. Kofi Ofori said the vaccine is very safe since it has undergone all processes of World Health Organization (WHO) and approved by Food and Drugs Authority, therefore, there was no cause for alarm.
He entreated the Hon. Assembly members to have confidence in it and take their jab since there were no adverse effect on man and it is expected they would carry the message to their respective electoral areas in order to curtail the spread.
