The District Chief Executive (DCE) Mrs. Rebecca Yeboah noted that the gesture is to support quality education and also promised that the Assembly will procure more sets of furniture for the two SHSs and other Basic Schools who are in dire need.

She then advised the headmasters of schools to make good use of the furniture and maintain them in order to prolong their use.

Mr. Joseph Ampong, the Head of Monitoring and Evaluation at Ghana Education in the District receiving the furniture on behalf of District Director of Education, thanked the DCE and the Assembly for responding to the plight of the schools.

He then hinted that the free SHS policy had increased enrollment in the SHSs and lack of furniture had been the cry of school authorities.
