KKMA donates furniture to schools in Kpone-Katamanso

The Municipal Coordinating Director (MCD) of Kpone-Katamanso Municipal Assembly, Mr. Michael Owusu Amoako handed over school furniture to the Education Directorate of the municipality on Thursday, 14th January 2021.

The furniture which consists of 400 dual and mono desks as well as 150 chairs and 25 tables for pupils in kindergarten, was officially presented to authorities of the Education Directorate.

Mr. Owusu Amoako emphasized that the Assembly procures items for the education sector annually and these items are not only given to schools but to offices of the education service in the municipality as well. He recalled that last year, the Municipal Assembly gave swivel chairs and other office furniture to the Education Directorate.

Receiving the items on behalf of the Directorate, the Municipal Director of Education, Mr. Harry Evans Arthur thanked the MCD and the Municipal Assembly for their continuous support for the education sector. He gave an assurance that the furniture would serve the intended purpose they were made for.

Also present at the handing over ceremony were staff of the procurement department of the Assembly, staff of the Information Service Department and the media.
