SEKYERE C: Rockland Farms begins production under “1D1F” programme
The Rockland Farms Company Limited under the auspices of the “One District, One Factory” programme has started production at Ankamadoa, a community in the Sekyere Central District to complement the government’s efforts at making the country an industrial hub.

Speaking to the Chief Executive Officer of the company, Edith Akosah Wheatland disclosed that, she is into poultry production and currently they have 60,000 birds in stock.
With the availability of the aforementioned number of birds, they are able to produce 16,000 eggs to feed the domestic industries daily.
According to her, it is their priority to start the breeding of 20,000 guinea fowls in the next six months and also move into chicken processing for exportation and for domestic purpose.
This expansion coupled with the processing would help employ more staff to beef up the existing ones which would eventually reduce the rate of unemployment in the area.
She finally appealed to the government to throw its weight behind them financially so that their company can stand the test of time.
The District Chief Executive of the area, Kwadwo Banahen Badiako eulogised the directors of the company for their ability in bringing such a broad vision to light.
He continued that, the company had really lifted the phase of the district and he would continue to put his sweat in line to make sure that predicaments of the aforementioned company are solved.
He also announced that about eight different companies are in the Verge of establishing themselves to drive the district into a wider spectrum in terms of industrialization.
