He said the government was spending a lot of resources on projects especially in health, education, water, and sanitation roads among others for both urban and rural areas and it was time for each community to take good care of such projects.

Alhaji Yussif made the call at kpanjanba, when he inaugurated GH¢140,000.00 GHPS Compound funded by the District Assemblies Common Fund (DACF) for the people of kpanjanba in the Yendi municipality of Northern region.

He said the CHPS compound which comprised; consulting room, delivery room, two bedrooms for the nurses, one bedroom for patients, a store, and a washroom would serve 12 communities in the area.

Some of the beneficiary communities include; Wuchado, Konkonzugu, Takoriyili, Sukami, Kuprogmado, Kpanjanba among others.

He reminded them that the CHPS compound would also take care of pregnant women who used to travel to the Yendi hospital for medical care.

According to the MCE, the compound had no labourers and therefore urged the community as members to use communal labourers to keep its environment clean.

He said without peace, there could not be development, and it was the reason why the Government spent a lot of funds to ensure that the funerals of late Ya-Na Mahamadu Abdulai TV and late Ya- Na Yakubu Andani II were performed for Dagbon to have a new Ya-Na.

He said the project was for all the 12 communities and they should support the health workers in case of need.

He appealed to the chiefs and the elders of the area to ensure their children do not destroy the windows of the compound.
